Friday: Rest Day

Today I woke at 8:30 as Dad rushed out the door to go and help with the exercise testing with the women on the team at the University. After breakfast I went for a morning ski out on the course. I thought it would be relaxing, but no. Biathletes from every country in the world were rushing around the stadium and the course speeding, shooting, crashing, yelling, and anything else ending with -ing. Not my thing in the morning. So I went back inside to do some homework (yeah I actually do homework Mom!). When Dad came back we ate lunch and he went out for a ski on his own. Later we walked into town together to go check out the scene there, we decided to eat dinner at a place called "The Bishops Arms." They had some of the best burgers and fish n' chips that either of us had had in a while. We walked back from town and spent the rest of the evening reading, blogging, and watching Eurosport soccer.

Hi Sam:

Thanks for the updates! We too, had a busy day yesterday. Anna and I went to Plimoth Plantation with Cheryl, Hank, and Meg. A bit of rain, many people, smokey abodes, but a fun time. Anna slipped on a curb, while at Trader Joes in Boston, and hit her wrist, so Cheryl and I ended up taking her to an emergency room when we got home. No broken bones (we were thinking of you, Nena :)) But she does have a splint she needs to wear for a couple of days. A good reason to stay clear of those icy trails. How's the smoked fish? Are you heading to the hotel today?
Love you. Mom

Hi Sam, We had a great day at Plimouth Plantation yesterday. I wanted to post some pictures of our day to your blog, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do that. :(( I'll have to email the pictures! Glad to hear you got your luggage. Have fun! Aunt Cheryl
